Me Anita Hufnagel, I am the owner and manager of the stud at the Thiergartenhof. I have a great support by my husband Paul who is a true horseman. Last but not least my children Sonja and Jürgen belong to the team at the Thiergartenhof, too.
We have been breeding Connemara Ponies since 1971.
Our first mare Skryne Fuchsia by Errigal Prince was irish. She died in 1999 at the age of 34 and left 14 very good foals. She was very healthy and robust. A lot of children had their first riding lessons on Fuchsias back. She lives on in her doughter and granddoughter, our broodmares Fiffi by May Prince and Flicka by Golden Gori.
When we bought the Thiergartenhof in 1996, the next ponies arrived.
Also our stallion Glaskopf Golden Swaine was bought in 1996 as a yearling. He passed the registration and his 30-day-performance-test successfully.
In the following years we had the chance to buy some very good broodmares and the breed developped well.
We also have a riding school and offer lessons with our ponies. A lot of children join the atmosphere in Schillingfürst and the good temperament of our ponies.
We were very lucky to find this place and are very lucky to have such lovely ponies.
